The Jewish cemetery in Trstená is located in a forest, on a slightly sloping terrain, about two and a half kilometers from the city center. The cemetery is rectangular in shape and is surrounded by a stone wall around the entire perimeter, access is from the road to Tvrdošín. The cemetery in Trstená is clean, well-maintained and cleared of invasive trees. The tombstones were partially stolen, often leaving only the pedestals and the grave sites marked by a border. About a third of the tombstones found remained unidentifiable because they fell with the inscription down.
