Cemetery Description: Slavonia region. The Logor Dakovo or Camp at Djakovo was a concentration camp in Croatia where many Jews died while awaiting deportation. The Non-Jewish custodian of the Jewish cemetery Stefan Kolb meticulously recorded the names, ages and birth places of all those he buried. These were placed on small markers over all the graves. A project of Yad Vashem recently replaced the old markers with new ones. A Jewish historian from Sarajevo, Professor Lea Maestro made an exhibit about the camp and the cemetery.
