Back of a Rosh Hashanah portrait card of my grandmother Rivka (Rebeka) KESTENBAUM, later Ruth Ferdman (b. Brody 1905). It is the only writing in her own hand. Source: Polkes family, Israel; this is a scan of the original.

My tentative reading:
"To my dear parents and siblings, as an eternal remembrance, from me your daughter and sister, Rivka. Rovne, ? Sept 1923."

Could you confirm or correct this, especially:
1. Line 2: is it "עלטערן" (parents)?
2. The day in the date at the bottom.

Thank you very much!

The above is what you wrote. Here is what I read:

In other words, a few small typos, that's all. The letter ayin (ע) is used to signify a short e. The word for 'and' is spelled 'und' rather than 'un', and other words also lean more towards original German words.

I read the date as a 7.
