Back of a photo card given to my grandfather Moisei (Morris) FERDMAN in Rovno in 1922, when he left for America. Source: the original card, in my family's possession.

I can read the main text: "For good and eternal remembrance to my unchanging friend Moisei Ferdman from an unchanging friend ... on the day of your departure for America. Shmaya Bukhman."

Please help with:
1. The note written sideways in the left margin. I partly read "...your brother who remained here after your departure... land of grief and torment(?)..."
2. The date at the end of that note ("19 1?/V 22"): is it 13 or 17 May 1922?
3. The signer's name: Shmaya Bukhman?

A brother stayed behind (listed as "A. Ferdman" on Morris's 1922 ship manifest), so any name or detail about him would be very helpful. Thank you!
