Here lies

Our mother, our teacher, Mrs.

TOIBA daughter of Reb Tzvi Yehuda

She passed away

18 Tishri 5694

May her soul be bound up on the bond of life.
===================================================
The name Toiba [TOY-bah] is Yiddish for dove. (Some people might misread this name as Tova, but that is a completely different name).

Again, 'Reb' does not mean rabbi.

I explained about the name Tzvi in my response to your other post. If you are looking for her father's secular name, some possibilities MIGHT be Herbert, Herman, Harry, etc., for the reasons that I gave. Keep in mind, however, that there are no rules for 'matching' religious and secular names, so his name might have been something totally different.

Yehudah is Hebrew for Judah. The symbol of the tribe of Judah is a lion. Therefore, some men with Yehudah as part of their religious name have a secular name related to lion, such as Leo or Leonard, or names beginning with an L, such as Larry.

The 18th of Tishri, 5694, began at sunset on October 7th and ended at sunset on October 8th, 1933. The secular date on the stone is October 7th, which would indicate that she passed away between sunset and midnight of that date.
