JewishGen-erosity — Sub-Carpathia Projects
The JewishGen Sub-Carpathia Research Division preserves and shares the histories of Jewish
communities from the historical Sub-Carpathia region, which includes areas once part of the
Austro-Hungarian Empire, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist
Republic. Researchers and descendants can explore an expanding collection of records,
transcriptions, and resources documenting life in towns, districts, and provinces, offering rich
insights into cultural, social, and family history.
Donor support enables the Division to acquire new materials, index rare records, and make them
widely accessible for future generations. Members who contribute $180 or more gain early
access to information before it is released publicly in JewishGen databases.
