Our outstanding friend, R' Asher Dieler, ז”ל, his wife Dwora and their son, all of whom were exterminated – after forced labor and severe illnesses – in the forests of Russia.
R' Asher was a scholar, a Maggid-Shiur of the Gemara in the Bet HaMedrash of the Zionists, which he did without pay, an ardent Zionist, observing the mitzvot both difficult and easy, in harmony with all about him, respected and held in esteem in all parts of the city.

Reizl Schmid, ע”ה. This righteous woman was a beacon among the women of the town, being involved in charity work, and guarded to ember of tradition in her own home, raising a family, along with her husband, R' Yehoshua, that was the pride of the city.

R' Abraham Goetz, ע”ה was a Torah and Mezuzah Scribe, and ardent Hasid, God-fearing and an honest and straight man, always conducting himself with integrity and working honestly, one of the most important of the balebatim of our town.

This righteous woman was incinerated as a martyr in Belzec, may God avenge her blood. May her soul be bound up in the bond of life under the wings of the Holy Spirit.

My uncle, R' David Yaroslavitz and his wife Faiga, ז”ל, their son, R' Menachem Mendl, ז”ל, their daughter Reizl Shmukler, their grandson, R' Elimelekh ז”ל. My uncle's son, R' Chaim Sholom Yaroslavitz, ז”ל of Lubliniec. My uncle's son, R' Aryeh Leib and his wife Rachel and daughter Tzila, ז”ל. My uncle's daughter Shayndl Ratseh, and her husband Yaakov and their children, ז”ל. R' David Lempel and his two daughters, Chaya and Rivka, their husbands and children, ז”ל. Miriam Lempel of the Zaltsberg family, Dwora Lempel of the Bratt family and her son, the young man, Benjamin (Bennie), who fell in the discharge of his duty in the Sinai campaign. To the memory of all the residents of the community of Cieszanow, may their memory be for a blessing, those who were exterminated in the diaspora. The wife of R' Yehoshua – Miriam Yehudis ע”ה
|
R' Shlomo, R' Yehoshua, and R' Yaakov Tzigler were known as scholars and God-fearing men, ardent Hasidim, and lovers of good ways and charity.
R' Yehoshua ז”ל was especially exceptional in this regard when it came to the celebration of the Purim festival, and was a wonder that served as a model to the entire area.
Poor people streamed into the town from the entire area to take part in the Purim feasts of R' Yehoshua Tzigler, and after they had eaten and drunk to the point of insensibility, every one of them received a generous gift of charity as well.
The Tzigler family was one of the most respected families in our area.

“A Man's Wisdom Illuminates His Face,” the prophet says. The wisdom of life poured forth from the countenance of R' Leibli Sternlicht, ז”ל. A Jew who was a scholar, a God-fearing man, he was one of the members of the aliyah drawn from the important populace of Cieszanow.
He was privileged to establish himself in the Holy Land, with almost his entire family, and derived ample nachas from his talented children.
He passed away in Tel-Aviv after a serious illness. May his soul be bound up in the bond of life.

R' Nahum Furman, ע”ה. among the most important of the balebatim of the city, a good man, loved by all. All matters that were difficult and complicated were brought before him, and with his acuity, he conveyed his point of view to the satisfaction of the sides involved. His home was open to all who were in need.
