The Gymnasium

The State Gymnasium building. Only four classes existed for a town of 20,000 people.

A pyramid in the yard of the Gymnasium, spring 1927. Twenty students from the higher grades, instructed by the gym teacher, Zeda Tuvchik, among them four Jewish students: David Goldman, Max Nakhmanovich (who became a physician), David Shwartsman, and Liusya Konstantinovsky, son of Aron (z”l), who drowned in the Danube the same summer.
