1a Halsbury Close, 65 Stanmore Hill, HA7 3DY (iii)

A purpose-built complex comprising all three congregations. The site was acquired in 2018(iv) and planning permission for the complex was granted in January 2020.(v) The ceremonial laying of the first three bricks took place in June 2021(vi) and the first services, of the Reform congregation, the largest component, were held in October 2022(vii) with the other congregations following shortly thereafter.

The Mosaic Jewish Community was formed by the constituent synagogues in 2014,(viii) although the process of coming together as a single community was a gradual one, not finally achieved until the move to the Stanmore Hill complex in 2022.

Ritual:

Non-orthodox, however, each of the constituent synagogues follows a different strand of Judaism.

Affiliation:

The constituent synagogues are respectively members of Masorti Judaism, the Movement for Reform Judaism and Liberal Judaism (the latter two organisations having announced in April 2023 their intention to merge).

Legal and Charitable Status:

Mosaic Jewish Community Limited (company no. 08825132) is a registered private company, incorporated on 23 December 2013 as the New Jewish Community Limited, changing its name on 8 April 2014. It is also a registered charity (no. 1157109), registered (standard registration) on 19 May 2014.

Stanmore is in the London Borough of Harrow, an Outer London Borough created on 1 April 1965.
