Revision Lists, plan to upload to JewishGen in June/July of 2020. A number of Revision List sets are going to be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Bendery, Beltsy, etc, see the progress. There are already 5706 records already completed.
Jewish Cemeteries. Progress:
Photographing of Sector 1 at Kishinev Jewish Cemetery is completed, and hopefully we will finish indexing, deciphering the inscriptions and send it in summer time to JOWBR.
Beltsy Jewish Cemetery. Next phase of photographing is done, and hopefully we will complete the rest and send to JOWBR soon.
Teleneshty Old and New Jewish Cemeteries. It appears that not all translations of the inscriptions were done right, and we have more images of tombstones from Joyce Field which were not included. There will be more new records added soon.
Vila Mariana Jewish Cemetery, San Paulo, Brazil. There are going to be some photos attached to records, and we will add them to JOWBR records.

Bessarabian Databases. Updates:
Revision Lists, plan to upload to JewishGen in June of 2020. A number of Revision List sets are going to be completed for towns of Kishinev, Khotin, Bendery, Beltsy, etc, see the progress. There are already 3198 records already completed.
Miriam Weiner Archival Database. New 430 records from 107 families/groups with 46 images were added to the database. You can see more records of Jews from towns of Beltsy, and Soroki, Click to get directly to the Miriam Weiner's collection. The highlights of the this load are a number of Births and Death records, and also from voters list for a Rabbi in synagogue in Soroki.
Jewish Cemeteries. Updates:
Completed indexing Vila Mariana Jewish Cemetery, San Paulo, Brazil. Jews were originally from Bessarabia, Moldova and Podolia.
Sent to JOWBR 503 burial records. See the cemetery report with more information, photos, etc. at Villa Mariana, San Paulo, Brazil cemetery.
Revision List set of records were sent to JewishGen in December of 2019. 10,873 records from 3,451 families were transcribed and translated from following towns: Beltsy, Brichany, Faleshty, Ismail, Reni, Khotin, Kishinev, Leovo, towns in Orgeev and Soroki uezd. See the list of all added records. We have an excellent group of translators for the Bessarabia Revision Lists. The total records we completed as of December 2019 is more than 214,000! Many thanks to our members who participated in this set translation: Alan Levine, Milla Donet, Evgeniy Veretennikov, Michael Richman, Alex Matlin, Bena Shklyanoy and Yefim Kogan.

Completed Phase 2 - clearing paths, photographing and indexing Lipkany Jewish Cemetery (graves could not be accessed before). Sent to JOWBR 1,648 burial records with 1,643 images and from that number 390 were Unknown and 567 Unknown from previous phases. images of Unknown graves can be viewed at Bessarabia SIG website at Lipkany Cemetery Report.

Completed photographing and indexing of Phase 6 of Beltsy Jewish Cemetery and sent to JOWBR 525 burial records with 502 images. We have now almost 5,000 burial records for Beltsy Jewish Cemetery, and more will come.

Added an article/link about The Open Databases project at the Museum of Jewish People at Beit Hatfutsot. It is a great resource to find out more about our families in Bessarabia/Moldova. You can get all family trees, photos for a particular town, or a family. For example for town of Brichany I got 26 articles, Beltsy - 36 and Bendery - 75 even for Valea-lui-Vlad, an agricultural colony I saw 2 articles. Here is a link to Museum of Jewish People site.
