This dataset is a translation of the Jewish records in the revision lists for towns in the District of Kremenets. The census books of the Central State Archives in Ternopil Oblast were microfilmed by the LDS and are available in the Mormon Family History Library in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Kremenets District Research Group is translating the revision lists.

Translated census entries have been indexed by surname, town, and source. Until the revision list translations are fully funded and all translations are completed, the translation spreadsheet is available only to those who have contributed in some way to the work of the Kremenets District Research Group. After the project is completed, the translation spreadsheet will be freely available to all. In the meantime, the master index (the Kremenets Concordance) is searchable, using Steve Morse"s One-Step search engine, on the

Reports and correspondence related to the registration of the Kremenets branch of the “Committee assisting German Jewish Refugees” and election of the management. In 1938, German Jews fled Germany as a result of increasingly anti-Jewish legislation and violence against Jews. Many fled eastward into Poland. Jewish communities throughout Poland took in the refugees and provided for their welfare. At first Polish authorities opposed these activities. But by the end of 1939, they relented and allowed the local communities to form committees to assist the German Jewish refugees. This document contains correspondence between the provincial authorities and the Kremenets committee. 

It includes 12 names in a list of the 9 branch management members committee members with their birthdates and street addresses. 7 pages in Polish. Typewritten. We have pages 1-4, 5, 5A, 6. Translated by Alex Sharon from Polish. A “Names Index” has been added to the translation. Entered in the Concordance.

List of residents of the town of Kremenets who suffered losses as result of a fire on April 13, 1835. The document mentions the amount to be loaned to the victims during the next 10 years from the treasury.

This document actually deals with a fire in Kremenets.
In 2008, the CAHJP Catalog listed 81 items under Litin. Some of those catalog entries have been acquired by Rose Feldman, and some of the acquired documents have been translated, at least partially. The translation from Russian to English of "List of residents of the town of Kremenets who suffered losses as result of fire on April 13, 1835" is available on the Litin KehilaLinks website (http://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/litin/) and in the Kremenets Concordance. The website says the document lists 52 names, but only 12 are in the table and another 8 are signatures below the table.
