Geguzine

In Yiddish, Geguzhin

Written by Josef Rosin

Translated by Shimon Joffe

The village of Geguzine is in the Trakai district.

During the period of Lithuanian independence, a few Jewish families lived there. In the elections to the first Lithuanian Seimas, in October 1922, it had 11 Jewish voters. Their fate was the same as that of the other Jews in the area, after the invasion by the German forces.
