STUDIES IN ANGLO-JEWISH HISTORY

There are a number of lists included in the Archive, some contain very small numbers of records and some are difficult to read. Where a list is  legible and contains reasonable numbers of records, it is being prepared for the ALL UK Database, other lists will be found in their original format.

1845 Statistical Accounts of Jewish Congregations of the British Empire (effectively solely Ashkenasi Congregations of the British Isles and Jamaica), based upon the replies to questionnaires submitted to the congregations by the then newly-elected Chief Rabbi Nathan Adler. These Accounts were transcribed by the Rabbi Susser and were included as part of the Papers on "Provincial Jewry in Victorian Britain" at the 1975 Conference prepared by Prof. Aubrey Newman.
