Services and meetings are now held at The Cannon, Thirsk Rd, Borehamwood WD6 5AY, Hertfordshire (from October 2018).⁽ⁱ⁾

From at least 2013 until 2018, the congregation generally held Sabbath and Festival morning services in the Borehamwood and Elstree Children's Centre (BECC), Shakespeare Drive, off Furzehill Road, Borehamwood, WD6 2FD. Friday evening services are generally held at Allum Hall, 2 Allum Lane, Elstree, WD6 3PJ.⁽ⁱⁱ⁾

Previously services also held in private homes.

Current Status:

Active. However, in October 2021, the congregation approved a merger with Edgware Masorti Synagogue and it is anticipated that the merger will be completed in December 2021.⁽ⁱⁱⁱ⁾

The congregation is a constituent synagogue of Masorti Judaism (known as the Assembly of Masorti Synagogues until 2012), having previously been an associate member until 2012 or 2013.^(v)

Legal & Charitable Status:

On 6 September 2010, the congregation was incorporated as a registered charitable company, Elstree & Borehamwood Masorti Community (company no. 07366674), a private company limited by guarantee without a share capital (and with an exemption from use of the word 'Limited'). The congregation is also a registered charity (no. 1139041) registered in November 2010.^(x)

Cemetery
Information:

The congregation has "London Synagogue" membership of the Jewish Joint Burial Society (JJBS), which includes rights of burial at one of the Society's cemeteries, in particular the Western Cemetery, Bulls Cross Ride, Cheshunt. There is also generally the option (through the JJBS) of a Woodland Burial in Cheshunt or cremation at Golders Green Crematorium.
