THORNTON-CLEVELEYS CONGREGATION
The official inauguration of the Thornton-Cleveleys Congregation and the opening-of the Synagogue at 8, Cleveleys Road took place on Sunday, when a special service was held in which the Revs. Mr. Goodman, Mr. Jaffe, and Mr. Grosskopf,1. participated.

Mr. S. Fink (President) gave an address in Hebrew. Mr. A. Finestone, of St. Annes, proposed the success of the congregation. Mr. Bert. Adler (Hon. Secretary) responded. Messrs. Barres and Inerfield moved and seconded a resolution (which was adopted) welcoming the formation of the Synagogue and children's classes. Other speakers included Messr. S. Green. J. A. Hamwee (St. Annes), Mrs. Bardiger, and Mr. M. Kravitz.

The following were elected: Messrs. S. Fink, President: J. Barres, Vice-President: D. Berkovitch. Treasurer: M. Brickman. Warden: Bert Adler (9, Oxford Road), Hon. Secretary; and M. Kravitz, J. Diner, M. Jeager, I. Cohen, and S. Green, Committee. The Ladies' Committee consists of Mesdames Bardiger, President; Mendelson, Vice-President; B. Adler, Treasurer; and J. R. Diner (48, Palatine Road), Hon. Secretary. The classes meet on Sundays (10 a.m. to 12) and Tuesdays and Thursdays (4.30 to 6.30 p.m.).

MR. LASKI IN THE PULPIT
Cleveleys Congregational Church was crowded on Sunday when a joint service was held by that Church and the Thornton-Cleveleys Hebrew Congregation. The Rev. Norman Castles and the Rev. Mr. Grosskopf jointly conducted the service and the sermon was preached by Mr. Neville Laski, K.C.

THORNTON - CLEVELEYS
At the annual meeting of the congregation, the following were elected: Messrs. Sol Green, President; I. N. Ross, Vice-President; M. Dancyger, Treasurer; I. Cohen, Warden; and Bert Adler, Hon. Secretary. A presentation was made to Mr. Jack Diner, former Treasurer and a founder of the congregation, who is leaving the district.
