  • (i) In Tradition and Change by A.J. Kershen and J.A. Romain (1995) p.243, it states that the congregation held services for two years but failed to grow in size and merged in 1970 with Birmingham Progressive Synagogue. The congregation's first appearance in the Jewish Year Books was in 1968.
