Pasusvys

Written by Josef Rosin

Translated by Shaul Yannai

In Yiddish, Pashushve

A county town in the Kedainiai district, 5 km northwest of Grinkiskis. Jews lived in Pasusvys before WWI and also during the period of Independent Lithuania. In 1923, 259 residents were counted in Pasusvys and in the nearby estate that was also called Pasusvys; among the town's residents at that time lived 100 Jews. In June, 1941, when the Germans conquered Lithuania, the fate of the Jews of Pasusvys was the same as the fate of the Jews in the surrounding areas.
