| PINHAS FUCHSMAN He was born in 1898 in the village of Zalavie and joined the Medvedev partisan brigade. When the brigade was disbanded he stayed in the forests near Blizhov. He came to Israel after the war and died here in 1959. |

When the war broke out between Germany and Russia, he was transferred to Kirov. In 1944 he volunteered for the Polish Army in order to take revenge on the Germans. He was sent to an officers course and upon completion he earned the rank of second lieutenant. Two weeks before the end of the war he fell in the battle of Berlin, on April 19, 1945. |
