A constituent, and the premier synagogue, of the Movement for Reform Judaism (formerly the Reform Synagogues of Great Britain).

Local Government District:

All of the above addresses, apart from Burton Street, are now in the City of Westminster, an Inner London Borough, within the administrative area of Greater London.

Previously, such addresses were in the former Metropolitan Borough of St Marylebone (established 1900) within the former County of London (established 1889), both of which entities were abolished in 1965.

Prior to 1900, the addresses were in the Civil Parish of St Marylebone, which had been in the former County of Middlesex until 1889.

(Burton Street is now in the London Borough of Camden, established in 1965. Previously, it was in the former Metropolitan Borough of St Pancras, established 1900, within the former County of London, and prior thereto in the Civil Parish of St Pancras, which had also been in the former County of Middlesex until 1889.)

*It was not until 1856 (when the Congregation received special Parliamentary sanction) that marriages conducted by the Congregation could not be registered.
