Latest revision or update: 29 November 2011 There were a number of Shteibels (small prayer houses, generally comprising a single room, the congregants of which were generally ultra-orthodox and frequently the followers of a particular rabbi) in the Willesden area. By 1988, these had all closed. Willesden, in North West London, was a municipal borough in the former county of Middlesex, and which in 1965 became part of the London Borough of Brent.
