Information Question
Category: Interpretation
Country: USA
Date of Image: 11/21/1941
Does anyone know the meaning or significance of E. I. Req 47962? Or if there is a way to search for additional information related to the notation based on the date or number? This is a notation on a passenger manifest from the SS Bulow arriving NY Dec 21 1912. Notation is located below the surname and on the line for Seidel ROCHKES. There is also a notation for arrival verification not shown. The date in this figure is between the CA notation on the manifest (1939) and the approval date of the certificate of registry (1942). Naturalization records show a Certificate of Registry was issued instead of a Certificate of Arrival. The person traveled under the name Seidel ROCHKES and naturalized under the name Isidore KRAFTCHICK. Thank you
