Date of Image: 1939
This is a letter from my great-grandfather, Yechiel, to my grandfather, Joseph. This first “page” has been translated, but I was unable to obtain a translation of the remaining 2 pages (scanned together). This image is page 1. I am posting it, and its summary/translation, so that the second page is not presented in a vacuum. Thank you!

The first part sets the date: May 1 1939. The second part sends family greetings to my grandfather, Joseph and his family, Sarah (wife) and children.

And then continues:
"My dear son: Since I received all your packages in order and I sent you 2 receipts for the packages and yet I haven’t received any answer from you, I don’t know what reason can be attributed to this.”
