Information Question
Category: Do you recognize?
Family Surname: Maniszewicz
Country: Poland
Apparently this individual is my late father's late mother's father named Mendel Maniszewicz (my Great Grandfather). Apaprently he immigrated to New York between the wars but because New York was not Jewish enough for him, he returned to Poland and presumably died in the Holocaust.
Does anyone recognize this man. My next image is of the text written on the rear of this postcard image for which I would very much appreciate a translation into English from what I assume is Yiddish? Thank you. Jay Sobel jaysobel@sympatico.ca
