Browse the VM archive to view user-generated images of Jewish historical subjects, documents, culture and places, up close. A new response feature now allows you to add your response to those older, often unanswered archived images. Please respond with relevant information when you can. Here's how. Sort the first column (VM ID) by clicking on the column title for the oldest or the latest images. Select an image. Next click "Add Response".

Alternatively, narrow your search by clicking "Search Archive," above, and type specific search terms.

Your input deserves our thanks and praise, for it may help a Gen'er in new and rewarding ways.
Countless unnamed and dedicated volunteers from across the globe deserve our gratitude. They freely offer their time and skills responding to ViewMate requests. Giving to others will come back to them.

Note: Viewmate's first saved image is #227.

To sort by a column, click the column title. Then click the sort icon [D] to reverse the order.
You will be able to view responses online if available. Items will open in a new browser window.

2/17/2013 3:46 PM This is side one of a postcard written by Baruch J/Yegelwel of Abramowo que Dmitrowicze pow. Brzese (Brest) to his brother William (Velvel) J/Yegelwel in Brooklyn NY.

The second side of this postcard was posted in my submission, 25910. Following this is a resubmission of the second side, which is, hopefully, a better scan.

Please translate as directly as possible.

With thanks,

Sarah Cohen

2/13/2013 4:20 PM I'd be extremely grateful for an English translation (in as much detail as possible) of this extract about Adolf Feldmann from the vital registers of the IKG in Vienna. I am particularly interested in the info in the second column if you can read it, details of addresses, occupations and the witnesses.

Thanks in advance for any information you can provide.

2/13/2013 4:20 PM I'd be grateful if you could translate into English the text on the far right of this death record for Adolf Feldmann from the IKG in Vienna. I assume it is a cause of death (which is thought to have been a heart attack).

Thanks in advance.
