This is a challenging question. Attached are two birth deeds written, I am told, in Alsatian German. I am hopeful that one of them is the record of the birth of my 3x great grandfather who was known in 1805 as Simon (and in 1808 as Simon Meyer). The date of his birth was 15 Frimaire XIV (6 December 1805). If you can easily tell me that *neither* of these is correct, that would be helpful. If one of them is correct than a translation of as much as possible would be very much appreciated. Thank you!
