On line 4 - I can't make out the given name of the Uncle he is going to in the US. The last name is Berkovitz

3/27/2022 1:09 PM Might be Schapse (sometimes written as "Shopsy" - a variation on the Yiddish name Shepsel, which is the name Shabtai in Hebrew)
3/28/2022 9:24 AM I'm pretty sure that they both say Shapsey.
One looks like "Sapsy" and the other is more clear- "Schapsey".
This is common Yiddish male name.
