I would very much appreciate a translation of this Russian text, as it relates to my the marriage of my maternal G-G-grandfather to his second wife in Mogilev Podilsky

3/3/2021 7:17 PM I can't make out all the writing in the left hand column, but looks like it gives the names of the marriage witnesses as Moshko Bas and Berko Lapidis. The column on the right side gives the names of the groom and bride as "Shargorod town-dweller, the widower Gershko Abramovich Flam, joined in marriage with the unmarried girl Sosia daughter of the Chernovits town-dweller Itsek Moshko Shvartsman." This is probably not the well-known city of Chernovits/Czernowitz in Bukovina, which is quite far and would have been in a different country (Austria) than Shargorod (Russia) in 1850. It looks like there is a smaller town, also called Chernovits, which is just 25 miles south of Shargorod, and this is likely the place the Shvartsmans came from (nowadays Chernyvtsi in Vinniytsia oblast).
