Would like a translation of the full 12-line Hebrew inscription. Can make out the name and date, but my limited Hebrew just isn't good enough to translate much of the rest of the inscription. Thanks to anyone willing to do this.

9/17/2020 12:52 AM This is an acrostic that contains the given name and the surname:
יוסף הירשהארן.
I have rarely seen an acrostic that contains the surname.

The text is then created to fit the first letters of each line -
The fifth and sixth lines contains the full Hebrew date of the day on which he "closed his eyes": The second day of Kislev 5683.

His age, 86, is also mentioned.

Other statements: His sons mourn him, the Lord rations a man's years, he will abide and take pleasure among the righteous.

I have used a bit of poetic licence but admit I had great difficulty in reading part of it. If someone else contributes it should assist. A question mark implies that the next word might be incorrect OR no translation for the next word

HERE LIES
YOSEPH YEHOSHUA SON OF MOSHE KEREN TZVI
AND HIS SONS ARE IN MOURNING [?]ABROAD BECAUSE MY NAME [has come to ] AN END .... poetic licence here ...not sure if I have read the Hebrew correctly
HIS SOUL DEPARTED , & THE BODY (is) IN THE GRAVE
Hebrew letter HEY= THE YEAR : TARPAG [5683 =1922] FROM THE CREATION ׂ(of the heavens)
2ND DAY OF KISLEV...???.....YEARS
ONLY THERE WILL HE DERIVE PLEASURE WITH THE INNOCENT, (his) NAME BEING AMONGST THE PLEASANT RIGHTEOUS
HIS SOUL OF SIX AND EIGHTY [years]DEPARTED TODAY
MAY HE FIND A PEACEFUL RESTING PLACE WITH THE MERCIFUL GOD IN HIS ABODE
MAY HIS SOUL BE BOUND UP IN THE BOND OF LIFE

OUR BELOVED FATHER ...ETC
9/17/2020 9:32 AM Hi ted,
Something to add: at the top, his father's name is given as משה קרן צבי. So this is (for me) a rare case, where they have taken the Germanic name HIRSCHHORN, and basically split it into HIRSCH and HORN, with קרן (Keren) being the Hebrew for Horn; and צבי (Tsvi) being the Hebrew name for someone named Hirsch, and both referring to a deer.

I'm not sure if there was an intention of providing a double meaning for a word in the second line, קצב, that without vowels could mean a "fast pace" or a butcher. Was he possibly a butcher by trade?

Content on matzevot can be puzzling and fascinating!

HERE LIES
YOSEPH YEHOSHUA SON OF MOSHE KEREN TZVI
AND HIS SONS ARE IN MOURNING as if they are going into exile
HIS SOUL DEPARTED , & THE BODY is IN THE GRAVE
Hebrew letter HEY (which stands for 5000) THE YEAR : TARPAG [5000+683 =1922] FROM THE CREATION of the heavens
2ND DAY OF KISLEV...???.....
ONLY THERE WILL HE DERIVE PLEASURE WITH THE INNOCENT, (his) NAME BEING AMONGST THE PLEASANT RIGHTEOUS
Find him A PEACEFUL RESTING PLACE, MERCIFUL GOD IN HIS ABODE
HIS SOUL OF SIX AND EIGHTY [years]DEPARTED TODAY
MAY HIS SOUL BE BOUND UP IN THE BOND OF LIFE

OUR BELOVED FATHER ...ETC
9/17/2020 9:19 PM The line "סוף קצב לחיי גבר" refers to neither pace nor to a butcher (nouns). In this sentence, it is a verb that refers the fact that Lord rations, budgets, limits, sets an end to man's life. The Hebrew root קצב has to do with rationing, budgeting. The noun קצב as a profession refers to the person who cuts the meat - apportions it.

I read "2nd day of Kislev he closed his eyes"
סגר ענים

And, in this text, I read both appearances of the word שם should 'sham' (there) and not as 'shem' (name).
