I'd be grateful for a full translation please as I am puzzled about a few things in this document, which appears to be the birth registration of my great-great-grandfather, Szmul LICHTENSTEIN (LICHTENSZTAJN), son of Hiler and Dwojra. I know that he was actually born in the town of Kiernozia in 1870 - is there any explanation of why his birth is being registered 14 years later, and in the very small village of Miedniewice, in non-Jewish records? Is there any explanation of why the name "Jan" seems to be an alternate name for him? And, last, but most importantly, what does it say about his parents - was his father still alive at this time? Where were they actually living? My most sincere thanks in advance to anyone who can help.
