7/15/2020 5:34 PM Here is interred

The modest woman, may she be blessed above the women in the tent [see note, below]

Mrs. SARAH, may she rest in peace

Wife of the learned man, our teacher the rabbi, Avraham Layb

Rosenberg

daughter of Reb Tzvi Desberg, may the memory of the righteous one be for a blessing,

died on the 20th of Elul [5]691, according to the small count,

and the name of her mother [was] Raytzel, may she rest in peace.

May her soul be bound up in the bond of life.

(The bottom of the stone contains an acrostic poem of flowery praise; the first letters of the lines spell out "Sarah, daughter of Tzvi". If the deceased was someone important to you, and you'd like these lines translated, let me know).
=========================================
This stone has the unusual feature of not only including her father's name, which is standard, and also including her husband's name, which is less common but often appears if he was an important member of the community, but also including the name of her mother.

Her husband's name is not followed by any of the standard "memorial" phrases, which would seem to indicate that he was still alive.

Her husband's name is preceded by an abbreviation that translates to "our teacher, the rabbi". This indicates that he had rabbinic ordination; he was not necessarily the rabbi of a congregation.

Her father's name is preceded by 'Reb'; this in an honorific; it does not mean rabbi.

The description of the deceased includes the words "may she be blessed above the women in the tent". This is a direct Biblical quote, from the Book of Judges, describing an especially valiant woman.

"According to the small count" means that the Hebrew year does not include the leading '5', which is understood.

The 20th of Elul, 5691, began at sunset on September 1st, 1931, and ended at sunset on the 2nd.
