6/4/2020 12:04 AM Hi Lynne,
The date when the marriage took place as well as the name of the first witness are in the top part, not visible here. Second witness was Mr Maczek (60 years old laborer from Lomza)
The marriage took place in Lomza
Groom: Szmul Lejbowicz Dluzniewicz
Bride: Sara Gejzer daughter of Tobiasz
The marriage was proceeded by 3 banns on Feb 13th, 20th and 27th
in Lomza Synagogue.
Mr Gejzer, the bride's father, has orally approved this marriage. There were no objections to this marriage. The newlyweds stated that they did not enter into a prenuptial weeding agreement. This document was read to the bride, groom and witnesses (as they stated they could not write) and signed by the Rabbi (or a clerk ) P.R. Abram Bryl ? on behalf of the Lomza Mayor Ignacy Jedlinski (who, BTW, was Lomza Mayor from 1848 to 1861)
Hope that helps.
Best,
eve
6/4/2020 5:04 PM It seems to me that it is not Gejzer but Lejzer—compare with other words in this record beginning with capital L. „Lejzerówna” and „Lejbowicz” are patronymics. Lejzer looks like the first name of bride’s father. So, she is Sara Tobiasz, daughter of Lejzer (Tobiasz?), The groom is Szmul Dłużniewicz, son of Lejb (Dłużniewicz?).

6/5/2020 3:22 AM It happened in the town of Lomza on 17th / 29th March of 1858 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon. Appeared before me the Jew Abram Lejbowicz Bryll, the Podrabin, together with the Jew Szmul Lejbowicz Dluzniewicz, a bachelor, 30 years of age, from Lejba and Basia [husband and wife] Dluzniewicz, born and living in Grzymaly village, a day labourer, with the Jew Sora Lejzorowna Tobiasz, unmarried, 20 years of age, born from Leyzor and Etka [husband and wife] Szymkowicz Tobiasz, born in Gac village and living there with her parents, in the presence of witnesses the Jews Kielman Noskowicz Kraski, 57 years of age, and Izrael Lejbowicz Maczek, 60 years of age, a day-labourer, living [both] in Lomza, declared that in front of today a religious marriage took place between Szmul Lejbowicz Dluzniewicz and Sora Lejzorowna Tobiasz, which was preceded by three banns on 13th, 20th and 27th of February of the present year in Lomza synagogue, as well as on 6th, 13th and 20th of February in Sniadowo synagogue, that an oral consent was granted to this marriage by the bride's father Lejzor and no objection was made to the marriage. The newlyweds testified on this occasion that no premarital agreements were made between them. This document was read to the declarant and to the witnesses and was signed by the Podrabin and myself. Newlywed and witnesses declared that they cannot write.

Signature of the Podrabin
