What is the word in parentheses to the right of "Wilhelm?"

It might just say child, i.e., Child of Salka above. Looking elsewhere on the manifest, notations in that column usually say sister, mother, etc,
At first I thought died. but, can't be. The name was checked off by the inspector, and at the bottom of the manifest the number 30 indicates the inspector saw 30 people.

4/26/2020 5:28 AM on the next column it says "infant" confirming that it was a child.
4/26/2020 7:26 AM Certainly looks like child at 250%. First impression at 100% was "died", or Velvel, Zeev, Velvel, Wilhelm, William, inter alia, same.
