On  Response
3/31/2020 3:33 AM How unusual to have a gravestone with a long Yiddish inscription. Here is my attempt.

My name is Mordechai Yaffe. I do not know who is unjust and who justifies the hand that punishes, or the punished.
I beg you. God, my name that proves to be hopeless should not be obscured.
After all, I was hardened by the pain and sorrow of my own life and the life of a ??.
Permitting him does not reduce his payment.
The benefit of his people is preferable.
For myself, my God.
For own meat and bone.
There is nothing left of my endeavor to please. When the time comes to cut a stone, awaken so praise may be written.
