This is the immigration record of Yides (Julia) Braver and her children from Galicia (lines 17-21). What is the town in Galicia that is listed under "last residence". It seems to be something like Teilo, but there doesn't seem to have been such a place.

8/7/2019 6:30 PM Hello Mitchell,

A couple of suggestions for you.....

In the immigration record of 1901, the country of Braver family is shown as Austria. Keep in mind that during that time period, countries changed boundaries often, so any given town could have been in a variety of countries depending on the political environment of the time.

Looking at the spelling of the town, I also see Tielo. So, I would suggest that you use the JewishGen "Town Finder" database with that spelling and the "sounds like or phoenetic" feature. There is a town that is phoenetically similar which is shown in Hungary. Check that out, as it could be your match. Make sure to look through all three of the time periods given.

Hope that helps in your research. If you need any additional help with this, please let me know....Jo

8/8/2019 3:30 AM Looks like Terlo. https://www.jewishgen.org/databases/gazetteer/gazetteer.php
8/8/2019 7:50 AM It may be possible that the "o" is an "s". I see Teils
8/8/2019 9:39 PM Between lines #17 and #18, is a handwritten notation. I think it may apply to Reisel BRAVER, line #18. The notation is: 2-112476 - 505 - 3-26-41. This may refer to a Certificate of Arrival, issued when an immigrant filed to become a naturalized U.S. citizen. Unfortunately, you can't search databases like Ancestry for certificate of arrival. However, if you don't already have naturalization information on these passengers, this could be a start.
8/8/2019 10:03 PM Although I wasn't able to quickly find any naturalization documents for Reisel BRAVER, I did find a Declaration of Intention for Philip BRAVER, on Ancestry. (If you don't subscribe to Ancestry, you may be able to access it for free from your local library.) It is Declaration of Intention # 16977, filed 4 June 1913, in U.S. District Court, New York, New York, Southern District. It says he was born 8 June 1892 in Galicia, Austria, and arrived in NYC aboard the _Statendam_ from Rotterdam, in Aug. 1901. He gives his address as 66 Ave "D"? (not sure about the "D"), NYC. I think he may be Pinches BRAVER, line #19.
8/8/2019 10:21 PM I read over your question more carefully, and looked on Ancestry specifically for Julia BRAVER. I found a listing connecting to FindAGrave.com, for Julia BRAVER (1868-24 June 1939), wife of Benjamin BRAVER. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/69002100
The burial is at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Maspeth, Queens, NYC. The plot is listed as Path D6L, Gate 6, Lutowiska Society. I searched the JewishGen Communities Database for Town Phonetically Like "Lutowiska," and it gave me https://www.jewishgen.org/Communities/community.php?usbgn=-514791 for town Lutowiska, in district Lisko, in province Galicia, in the Austrian Empire, before WW1. If this is same Julia BRAVER, then maybe the town you're looking for is in the vicinity of Lutowiska.
8/9/2019 3:59 AM Town name is Terlo ("broken" Polish "l").

Two adjacent towns by this name: Terlo Rustykalne and Terlo Szlacheckie are located within Stary Sambor region on the eastern slopes of Carpathian Mountains.

There are exact 11 hits for Brawer in Terlo listed in JRI-P database, which include Ides Brawer and some of the kids that are shown in the 1901 passenger list.
8/14/2019 6:55 PM I agree with the last response: the manifest says Terlo. The image on FamilySearch is somewhat clearer (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-C9T4-LS88-P?i=392&cc=1368704&personaUrl=%2Fark%3A%2F61903%2F1%3A1%3AJFJK-NPR).
