4/3/2019 6:57 PM My translation app thinks it is Hungarian.
4/3/2019 8:39 PM Yes, Hungarian, from automatic text recognition software that made some mistakes. I am sure a person fluent in Hungarian will have no trouble with this.
4/3/2019 9:05 PM Hello Cindy,

Yes, the language is Hungarian. It is a little bit of a challenge, as some letters are missing and in other places letters, numerals and symbols are added.

So here is a basic approximation and translation of the note:

"With respectful greetings. I am looking for my father's information. I request if Leo Achner knows something...???...help me find it. He is of Polish Ashkenazi origin...??..he lived in Bucarest for a long time, and he died in Vienna in the neighborhood of around 1970.
With thanks, Sandor (???).

Although I do not have the ability right now to add the proper vowel markings, I will point out some of the spelling corrections....

ap m = apam = father

Leo Achner 3s = (?????)

csal dj r(cents)l = csaladjarol = of his family

seg!tsen megtal lni = segitsen metalalni = help find

sz rmaz s = szarmazas = origin/background/heredity

sok ig = sokaig = for a long time

3 = (I don't know if this belongs here or not.)

S ndor = Sandor ? = a Hungarian given name (I don't know the meaning of the question mark at the end.)

If anyone else has anything to add, that would be great. I have also assumed that the request is being made for information from Leo Achner rather than about him.

Jo

Interpretation:
Tisztelettel üdvözlöm. Keresem az apám adatait. Kérem, ha tud valamit Leo Achner és családjáról segitsen metalálni. Lengyel askenszi származás, sokáig élt Bucurestiben, Wienben hunyt el kb. 1970 környékén. Köszönettel: Sándor.

Translation:
Respectful greetings. I am looking for my father's data. Please, if you know anything about Leo Achner and family, help find it. Polish Ashkenazi origin, lived for a long time in Bucuresti, passed away in Wien around about 1970. With thanks, Sándor.
