My great uncle Simon had already emigrated to the US. This is an addendum to his application for a passport permit so he
can travel to Poland to see his mother, my grandmother.
A complete literal translation is requested.

1/9/2019 1:59 AM The handwriting is diffucult to read. I put dashes when I couldn't make things out. Brackets for comments/interpretation. There are no punctuation marks in the original

Written to "my dear brother in law Shimon Fishenfeld"
After the usual opening remarks, writer says something like "I visited your dear mother in Grodzet [or Grodzes] she told me that she recieved from you ----- hundred mark she thanks you very much for your kind heart I can also write you that -- [a line of text that I can't make out. It mentions "lying ill" and "your dear brother"] you dear mother says that --- --- perhaps you can send more money.
I wanted to write you more but I have no time since I'm going to Warsaw --- -[since] Mother asked me to doher a favor I wrote you these few words ---- will be late
From me your brother in law and mother
