I know it's a very hard task, but could someone figure out the cousin's name (from a ship manifest)?
Many thanks in advance,
Hannelore

3/27/2018 1:06 AM I am pretty sur about the first letter: H.
The name could be Hartmann.
3/27/2018 9:09 AM What is the name of the person who is the passenger, the name of the ship and direct access of the manifest may allow the reading of the name.
Eden Joachim
3/27/2018 9:41 AM I'm so sorry that I cannot even be sure the first letter is an "H." If you post the original source, I will try again.
3/27/2018 2:08 PM I agree with Eden Joachim. We need to see the whole page of the manifest. What is the name of the passenger, the year arrived, and which port of arrival?

I think it may not be a person's name, but a location.

Hartford, Connecticut, perhaps?

4/2/2018 12:15 PM Yes. please post a less pixelated version and one where we can see more of the writing. Clearly, the first word is cousin. The circled word might not start with a "H" since the 'H' 2-lines above in "Hadley, MA" looks different.
