Can anyone read the writing at the bottom of the image? This is my grandfather as a Yeshiva-bucher. I'd like to know where he studied. He described it as high on the bluff of a river.

5/31/2016 1:54 AM Fettalinenstr(asse)in the left Corner - it must have been Germany then....
5/31/2016 3:22 AM I don't agree that the word in the bottom left resembles the name of a German street at all. To me it looks like a name: F Malinonski or something similar to that. Maybe the name of the photographer?

Unfortunately the word in the bottom right corner is too faint to make out. But it would also appear to be a name of some kind.

Hope that helps.
5/31/2016 5:20 AM Usually at the bottom was the logo of the photographer.
Definately the name (on the left) is F. Malinowski.
On the right probably town name, illegible.
Please try to scan in a higher resolution.
