My uncle Pessakh Rapoport's wedding to a Sara ?

Could anybody suggest where this photo was taken?
Are they in a synagogue? Part of a synagogue?
Private house?

6/14/2015 11:35 PM Hello Eli,

My first reaction is that this is NOT a private house for the following reasons. There is a door behind the group, with a Hebrew saying above it. It says, "Boruch Ha Ba", which means "blessed be the one who enters". I would venture to make an educated guess that this building is probably a Jewish assembly hall or meeting place...possibly a synagogue.

6/16/2015 5:23 AM it seems to me that this picture was taken outdoors - the baruch habba on the door would be on the outside, there are lamps (which would be common outdoors) and it looks like they are standing on a staircase. so i would say it's outside a synagogue.
6/16/2015 7:35 AM I do not think it is outside a synagogue. There are curtains on the windows - and they are clearly on the side of the people. Curtains would be on the inside and not the outside of a building. It could be a foyer of a hall or synagogue with the sanctuary by the Baruch Ha Ba door.
6/18/2015 3:43 AM This group of people is standng under the "khupa" (wedding canopy) to have their picture taken.
A man is holding one of the poles (on the right).
You can put a "khup"a anywhere, it doesn't have to be a synagogue or a community hall.
However, the inscription at the back ("welcome" in Hebrew) suggest it is rather a public place than a private home.
