3/28/2015 12:46 AM Hello Diane,

Just for clarification of the names....

Sarah's Hebrew name is Sarah Rifka Bas/(daughter of) Reb Zebulon, of blessed memory.

Max's Hebrew name is Menachem Mendel Ben/(son of) Reb Avrohom Dov.

In both cases, the word "Reb" preceeds the double given names (or single given name) of the males, and it is used as an honorific title of respect. There are no surnames mentioned in Hebrew on this tombstone.

Hope that this is helpful to you....Jo
3/28/2015 2:14 AM Hey Diane, above the name Sarah, it is written:here is laying an honest woman, believing in Hashem, (God)
Sarah Rivka, daughter of Rabbi Zvulun, and the Hebrew date that she died,4of month Heshvan, in the year hatashi. The letters after it mean:
Let her soul be tied in the bundle of life.
And then you have it in English.
Above the name of Max, it is written:here is laying an honest man, believing in Hashem, Menahem Mendel, son of Rabbi Avraham
Dov, and the Hebrew date of hid death,15of the month of Shevat, hatasha. By the way, this date, is a holiday ,simboling the new year of nature, of the trees and bushes and flowers.
