3/22/2015 1:11 PM First, I want to commend you on the several beautifully clear and enlarged photos of tombstones you posted. It's rare, in my experience on ViewMate that such great examples are posted.

I see that others have translated all of the ones posted, but this one is very curious, because it has so many spelling errors!

It has been translated as best anyone could, but I might have to guess that this one was engraved either on the basis of the ignorance of the family member or the engraver.
The name Esther, should have a samech not a "saf" and a Taf not a Tet.
I'm not sure on the line below that, if they meant to have Kvod Harav, but the abbreviated letters given don't look like that.
If the father's name is supposed to be Elyakum, it shows a Zayin when it should be a vav and a regular Mem when there should be Final Mem.
Finally, in the traditional 5 letter Eulogy, the middle letter shown is an Ayin and should be a Tzadi; and the last letter should have been a heh and not a chet.

I believe the intent of a correct inscription, should have been:

פ"נ
אשת חיל מרת אסתר
בת כ"ה אליקום פאלק ז"ל
ת.נ.צ.ב.ה

Best,
Madeleine
