I would like a full translation.

This is from the 25th anniversary publication of the First Lubiner Progressive Benevolent Association, a NYC landsmanshaft associated with the Russian Empire community of Lubin (Yiddish) - also known a Labun in Polish and Russian and, today, Yurovshchina, Ukraine.

Isidore Bauman (Itzik Baumelman) was then the vice-president of the organization.

12/7/2014 8:32 PM Emily, I had a crack at reading this with my limited knowledge of Yiddish and made little progress. I'm not sure the subject matter here, but I hope someone with more knowledge of Yiddish can figure it out. Any idea about the background of the content? Was it concerned only with Lubiners from NY? We had relatives in NY who I can only assume also came from Lubin. They had immigrated earlier than my Grandfather and served as spokesmen to get him entry. That was my grandfather's brother, a Schuchman, who lived in the NY area. It would be interesting to see a roster of members and especially if any Chicago Lubiners were in attendance.

12/8/2014 3:13 AM Here's is an almost full translation:
A greeting from the Vice President
Twenty five years have flown by since I was still a young and joyful youngster, when the ... had thrown me with all my 248 organs( an expression meaning the whole me, totally me) into this organization which celebrates it's 25th jubilee.
25 years! How quickly the years flew by.
The dedication and... of those who are not with us anymore, the true devotion with which we all have put the foundations stone by stone and turned this organisation into what it is today.
25 years..quick! It was a long chain of happy, warm days and also - sleepless nights, standing on guard for the interests of the members. I hope that none of us will stop his activities , and we all will continue to be devoted to the society and we will not forget our sisters and brothers who are still in Lubin.
From the bottom of my heart I wish all the members and their families to live till the 50th anniversary.
Itzhak Bauman
12/8/2014 8:00 AM A few additions to the translation.

First suspension points:
"when DESTINY had thrown me"

Second suspension points:
"The IDEALISTIC dedication and READINESS TO MAKE SACRIFICES of those who are not with us anymore".

At the end: "to live TO CELEBRATE THE 50th anniversary3.

Hope this has helped some more.
