I'm looking for suggestions regarding the maiden name of the bride's mother (Sarah). The handwriting is difficult for me to make out, and some of the text is problematical; the bride's maiden name was Lena STEIN but variously indexed as Linna STANE or Livia STON.

Thanks in advance!

11/20/2014 6:07 AM If you look at the brides name on the side of the document, it looks like "Sonia Stam or Stom".
Her mother's name looks to me like "Sarah Palson".
You're right, it's difficult to read.
11/20/2014 6:51 AM To me her name looks like Palkors, maybe Palkow.
11/20/2014 9:54 AM mother's maiden name could also be Rolson, Ralson? the first letter could be R as in Russia on the birhplace line?
11/20/2014 1:30 PM To me it looks like PALSON or RALSON. Very sloppy handwriting. Their are other avenues to look for the mother's maiden name. If the bride was living in the mid-1930's than her SS5 (original Social Security application) should have her mother's maiden name. It's not cheap to obtain the SS5. Her death cert may have her mother's maiden name, but that's 2nd hand info given at a time of stress, not always reliable. Did the bride's mother come to the U.S.? If so, than find her death cert, same caveat as above. Did the bride have siblings? Their documents may reveal their mother's maiden name.
11/21/2014 4:16 PM Hello David,

In my opinion, these could be the possibilities for the bride's mother's maiden name:

Sarah Palson
Sarah Ralson
Sarah Polson **
Sarah Rolson

It just so happens that I do know a Jewish family with the surname of Polson.....Jo
