12/31/2014 6:30 AM 21. It came to pass in the Town of Zgierz on the twenty-eighth day of June in the year of one thousand eight hundred and fifty-five at the hour of eight in the morning. Appeared personally orthodox Jew Szmul Gielbardt, a szkolnik, fifty-two years of age, residing here, in the presence of witnesses, that is to say, Abram Rotsztein, an another szkolnik, fifty-five years of age, and Abram Szynkielewski, a mohel, forty years of age, both of them residing here, and declared that Markus Szpiro who had arrived here temporarily for the purpose of visiting his family, a trader, permanently residing in the Town of Zdunska Wola, had deceased the day before here in Zgierz leaving behind his widowed wife Rywka and his six children, that is to say, Fiszel, his son staying in Zgierz, as well as his sons Chajm, Icek and Jakob and his daughters Laia and Sara, all of them staying by their mother in Zdunska Wola. There was ascertainment by eyewitnesses regarding the demise of Markus Szpiro. The actual act was read aloud to the appearers and subsequently signed by them along with myself, a Civil Registrar.
