Text from back of photo, including date and several names, appears in next Viewmate image. Any information about the type of photo, style with a friend and balloon? What they are holding - purses? their dress, etc. The Blitz studio in Lodz, etc.

8/21/2014 2:51 AM It looks like these are handbags which were likely to be provided by the photo studio. Just guessing as often the photographers used props and various backgrounds.
8/22/2014 9:28 AM I have several photos of my family of this kind taken at a photographers studio. They used very often props like furniture or curtains and made the person hold a book or a ball or flowers and supplied some items.This is a typical photo of a studio. I think it is a photograph of two sisters so that is why the girls are dressed in a similar way. I found some interesting articles online about photography and specially Jewish photography in the years before the Shoah.I can give you the link. Best regards Barbara
