Just a shot in the dark. Does anyone recognize this woman?
I'm fairly certain her name is Helen Hersch. She or some part of her family is from Cleveland, Ohio. She lived at 2813 1/2 Buckingham in Los Angeles. She attended UCLA in 1939. She was a saleslady and was registered to vote.

8/17/2014 11:13 PM Hello David,

That address was in the nice Jewish neighborhood called "West Adams". The building looks like a well-maintained, fashionable duplex...not only by its appearance, but also by the 1/2 showing in the address. The lady is dressed and coifed very stylishly for that year, and I would assume that family was middle-class comfortable.

Perhaps you can try to get into the 1940s census for that address in Los Angeles, and even try using one of the surnames with the address.

Good luck....Jo
