Wedding Jagodnik / Zylber (13 January 1847)

OSTROW - It happened in the town of Ostrow, the 13th /25th/ of January 1847, at 3 p.m., that it appeared the Jew Enoch Zelkowicz Rechelson, deputy of the Rabbi of this town [Ostrow],
- together with the Jew *Tewia Mozhkowicz Jagodnik*, a single having accomplished the age of 22 years, who was born in the town of Ostrow, Ostrolenka district, gubernia of Plock, by the [following] parents: Moszek Joshkowicz and Leja Eliaszowna [married] Jagodnik, long time not living anymore, and who is a day-worker [wyrobnik],
- and the Jewish *Raczka Ester /double name/ Herszkowna Zylber*, a virgin, born in the town of Ostrow, Ostrolenka district, gubernia of Plock, by the [following] parents: Herszek Julkowicz and Feyga Marcusowna [married] Zylber, who are both living [and making a living by being] (as) taylors, with whom she stays, [here] in the town of Ostrow,
- accompanied by the Jewish *witnesses*: Icek Notkowicz, a Szkolnik [official of a Jewish School], 44 years of age, and Helman Herszkowicz Okon [by the way: „okon“ is a fish called „perch“], a house owner, 66 years old, both living in the town of Ostrow,
and declared that, today [and from now on I will summarize in short] the couple (Tewia Moszkowicz Jagodnik and Raszka Ester Zylber) underwent a religious wedding ceremony lead by him, Enoch Rechelzon, the Deputy Rabbi of Ostrow [according to his signature written with z]. The banns had been published end of last year in the local synagogue - three times, without resulting in any veto: [1846] 28th Dec [1846] /10 Jan [1847]/, 4th /16th/ Jan [1847] and 11th /23rd/ Jan [1847].
This dokument was read aloud, all parties aggreed and signed.
