I would particularly like to know where Rebekka Schramm Meyer was born and who were her parents. The image is of a page in the Goersdorf, Bas-Rhin Actes Civils, recorded during the years when Alsace was taken from France by Germany. Any other information translated would be welcome.

11/24/2013 9:14 PM [Best I can do with low-resolution image] Abraham MEYER reports that his aunt, Rebekka (or Babette?) nee MEYER, widow of Baruch SCHRAMM, age 79, Israelite religion, born in Schweighausen, Kr. Haguenau, daughter of the married couple, both deceased in Schweighausen, Isaac MEYER and Pauline nee MEYER, died at the residence of the informant in Gersdorf on March 26 1877.
11/25/2013 6:46 AM Abraham was a "Hausierer" = peddler.
The deceased was Rebekka nee Meyer. The upstroke at the left of the first letter is specific for a capital "R" {A capital B would have a line at the bottom); the stroke specific for a "k" is seen at the upper right of the first "k" . The last letter is an "a", to large for an "e".
Schweighausen is today's Schweighouse-sur-Moder, 5 km west of Haguenau and 20 km south of Goersdorf.
See the FAQ section of this website for how to upload with adequate resolution.
