This text appears on back of photograph of my father when he was 3-4 years old. It was probably written by his mother who had immigrated from Ukraine 5 years earlier. Possible locales for photograph are Denver, CO or Jacksonville, FL.

Thanks for your help!

9/22/2013 8:34 PM I noticed "Spector" as a family name. My grandfather, Laib Begler, had a sister married to a "Spector". My grandfather and his family immigrated from Shikov, Ukraine around 1920 and settled in Pittsburgh His sister's name was Sosya, and she was the only member of his immediate family who didn't come to the US. One of her sons immigrated to Canada, and changed his name to Waltman

9/24/2013 3:24 PM I also research Spector and Specter.Originally they were from Lublin, Poland. Please, can you send me pictures if you have more? (or if you want to share info). Thanks in advance.
9/24/2013 10:15 PM Papa I'm sendong you my picture with my violin Papa send me money for fiddle lessons goodbye goodbye answer soon.

"violin" and "fiddle" appear like that in the original, as does the english word "lessons".
I think the last line contains a mis-spelled "answer soon" [the "d" in "bald" - soon - seems missing]. I could be wrong...

11/17/2013 2:26 PM I checked this out with a couple of my Yiddish literate friends. Both said it sounded like a scam looking for money, and they had ween similar messages before.
