This is a photo of a great-uncle from the town of Rohatyn in Galicia (in modern day Ukraine.) The photo was probably taken around 1915 to 1925.

I would like to know if the man is wearing a military uniform (Austrian-Hungarian army?) or is it perhaps a police or fire brigade uniform or some other type of uniform?

Looking at online images of Austrian Hungarian military uniforms I did not see ones with the "lightening bolts" on the collar as in this photo but I am no expert. I would appreciate any help so that I might do further research on this person.

Thank you in advance.
